The gold standard

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small, biocompatible titanium post that takes the place of a missing tooth’s root. Once placed in the jaw, it fuses naturally with the bone to create a rock-solid foundation — then we attach a custom crown, bridge, or full-arch restoration on top.

The result looks, feels, and functions like your own teeth. Unlike dentures that can slip or bridges that rely on grinding down neighboring teeth, implants stand on their own and help preserve the jawbone for the long term.

  • Replaces the entire tooth — root and crown
  • Preserves jawbone and facial structure
  • Doesn’t damage healthy neighboring teeth
  • Eat, speak, and smile with total confidence

Clear & comfortable

Your implant journey, step by step

No mystery, no pressure. Here’s exactly what to expect — and roughly how long each stage takes — from your first visit to your final tooth.

Step 1Visit 1 · about 60–90 min

Free consultation & 3D scan

We talk through your goals, complete a full exam, and capture a precise 3D scan of your jaw. You leave with a clear written plan and exact pricing — no surprises.

Only if neededthen heal 3–6 months

Extraction & bone graft

If a damaged tooth needs removing, or your jaw needs extra support, we take care of that first. Grafted bone then strengthens for about 3–6 months before the implant goes in. Many patients skip this step entirely.

Step 2about 1–2 hours

Implant placement

The titanium post is placed gently under local anesthesia, with sedation options available. Most patients tell us it was far easier than they expected — and back to normal the next day.

Step 33–6 months to heal

Healing (osseointegration)

This is the part that takes time: the implant fuses with your jawbone to form a rock-solid foundation. You’ll wear a natural-looking temporary tooth throughout, so your smile stays complete while it heals.

Step 4quick visit + ~2–3 weeks

Abutment & impressions

Once healed, we attach the small connector and take a digital impression. Your custom crown is then crafted to match the shape and shade of your natural teeth — usually ready in about 2–3 weeks.

Step 5final visit · about 1 hour

Your new permanent tooth

We place your custom crown — a beautiful, natural-looking tooth that’s yours to keep. That’s it: you walk out with a complete, confident smile.

Most journeys take 3–9 months from first visit to final tooth.

Timelines vary from person to person — a simple case can move faster, while grafting adds healing time. We’ll confirm your exact schedule at your free consultation.

Implant questions

What patients ask us

Cost depends on how many teeth you’re replacing and whether any preparatory work (like a graft) is needed. We give you a clear, itemized estimate at your free consultation — and financing makes monthly payments very manageable.

Most patients are surprised at how comfortable it is. The procedure is done with local anesthesia (with sedation options), and any post-op soreness is typically mild and easily managed with over-the-counter medication.

With good home care and regular checkups, the implant post can last a lifetime. The crown or restoration on top may need replacement after many years of normal wear — much like a natural tooth with a filling.

It varies. Some full-arch cases provide same-day fixed teeth, while traditional implants include a healing period of a few months before the final crown. We’ll map out your exact timeline at your consultation.

There’s no upper age limit for implants — overall health matters more than age. Even if you’ve been told you don’t have enough bone, modern grafting and full-arch techniques mean we can help most patients. The only way to know is a quick scan.
